EnvironmentIn today's society, the impact of our ever increasing drain of non - renewable resources on the environment, has never been enough of an issue to instigate positive changes in working practices. Whilst we may not feel the full impact within our lifetime, our children may find that we leave a legacy of an environment in far worse condition than we found it.
Thankfully, attitudes are slowly changing. We now look more closely at the damage and pollution that we are causing and the way we deal with waste and how we can convert it to energy.
Fuel Oils accept the fact that without businesses like ours accepting the responsibility of changing working practices and attitudes to improve the environment, the positive changes to our environment may be too little too late.
This is an ongoing task that requires a willingness to change the way we think about using existing and renewable resources. To prove our committment, we installed a management system capable of obtaining the prestigious ISO 14001 Environmental Standard, this we successfully achieved in December 2007.

| Oil Storage Guidelines (Businesses)Businesses receiving deliveries of Fuel Oil must comply with the Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001. Our delivery drivers can only deliver into tanks that comply.
A certain amount of discretion is allowed, for minor infractions, and the delivery driver can decide to proceed with the delivery, if he/she is given the customer’s assurance that the defect will be rectified. Upon the drivers return to base an Unsafe Delivery Report will be filed and delivery of future orders will depend upon the customer’s response.
