Ultra Low Sulphur Gas Oil

Ultra Low Sulphur Gas Oil is a (Derv specification) distillate fuel manufactured to give clean burning, maximum heat output and efficient combustion in boilers and off-road diesel engines. It is a 'rebated' fuel, (reduced rate of excise duty) and as such is dyed red and contains chemical markers in accordance to Customs and Excise requirements, to prevent its use as a fuel in road vehicles.

Ultra Low Sulphur Gas Oil is a "dual purpose" fuel and is recommended as a boiler fuel in domestic or light industrial installations with pressure jet burners and as a diesel fuel for off road equipment such as stationary diesel engines, farm tractors, construction equipment, railway and marine engines.

Ultra Low Sulphur Gas Oil exceeds the latest requirements of relevant British Standard Specification BS 2869 Class A2 and D, and the sulphur levels are significantly lower than that of standard Gas Oil.

Fuel properties are seasonally adjusted to maintain good low temperature operability.

HM REVENUE & CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS
Legislation introduced from the 1st April 2003 by HM Revenue & Customs, is intended to combat the misuse of rebated fuels being used in road vehicles.

Businesses that sell and deal in these rebated fuels (Gas Oil or Kerosene) will need to be approved by HM Revenue & Customs.

As an approved dealer, our duty of care requires us to obtain and record information about who we are selling these fuels to and the intended use of that fuel. Before we are able to supply rebated fuels therefore, we must have written confirmation from a responsible person within your organisation, on the intended use of that fuel.

Before we can make the first Gas Oil or Kerosene delivery, we must ask you to complete and return the Intended Use form to us.
